Ok, so it’s not remade of anything old, but I HAD to have one myself. And I thought if I HAD to have one, you probably HAVE to have on too. So here’s your chance. I’ve got them in small, medium, and large for $20. Available for a limited trial run directly through me. Email me at amanda (at) mulierose (dot) ca if you’re interested.

Haiku Studios

Haiku Vancouver

When I created Mulierose, one of my goals was to sell my designs in stores across Canada. I’m one step closer to that goal this month when Mulierose will be participating in a local pop-up shop, Haiku Studios, for the rest of June, July and August. The shop’s located at 644 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC.and will be open 11 to 7 Thursday to Sunday until the end of August. You can follow the shop on Twitter @haikustudios, and like us on Facebook for updates.

I’ll be working a few shifts a month, so feel free to stop by and have a visit while you check out some of Vancouver’s hotest talent. I’ll be sharing floor space with Apogee Handmade, Bianca Barr, Sedated Clothing, Mindan’s Designs, Buenostyle, Natalie, Clutch Jewels, Lou Evans, Vanessa Vlinder, Anaya Leather, and Daub + Design.

cotton cuff made from upcycled men's dressshirts designed and created by Mulierose

I know I said I was going to reveal a new product at next weekend’s Portobello West show at Creekside Community Centre, but I just can’t wait!

From the time I deconstructed the first dressshirt, I’ve been pondering on how exactly to make use of the cuffs. When craft show traffic is a bit slower, you can find me hand sewing flowers out of my scraps. I didn’t start with an end project in mind, I just started making them. Now I’ve found a purpose for them – casual, but still pretty, corsage type cuffs.

Like the clothing line, they’re also all one-of-a-kind. They’re designed to be comfortable and have two buttons to adjust the size. They’re constructed with decorative ribbon, fancy stitching, fabric flowers, and assorted buttons. Buy them online in our Etsy store before they hit the craft show circuit this Saturday.

Mulierose on Breakfast Television

It seems like only yesterday Mulierose was just an infant, but it’s growing up fast!

Jenna Herbut, co-founder and organizer of MakeIt, was on Breakfast Television yesterday morning promoting the MakeIt craft fair that’s on at the Croatian Cultural centre this weekend. And as luck would have it, she was wearing a Mulierose ribbon tank! It’s so exciting to see someone else wear your clothes. Thanks Jenna!

If you didn’t catch Breakfast Television yesterday morning, you can check out the clip on CTV.
